price depends von the model but is several thousand dollars (some are around 15000-50000) as far as I know from the last pricelists.
to print a model is not expensiv, depends on the size and if color is used (you can even get a sample model free from some suppliers with your own dataset), around some xx to xxx dollars usually (can be more if large).
how much this printer would cost and how much would cost to make any of those modls?
you can use cyanacryl to duren it, but the gearbox cannot be too small, there have been examples around, but most you have a gypsum constitency, the material is also a little bit rough, so this will make it more difficult for the gears to work for a longer time,
but if you need to test a configuration, you can do it.
How durable is the stronger materials? Could you create a minature gearbox with the gears inside if you left an opening to blow out the powder?
The flexible objects use a softer less dense material, after print its infiltrated with the gum like material.
The ball bearing disk is pretty darned neat.
The flexible objects, are they from the same powdery material or from a different substance?
not that expensive, its a gypsum like material which is used. printing with a water based ink on the surface makes it rigid. (CaSO4·½H2O + 1½H2O → CaSO4·2H2O )
