Any way to convert a jet/laser printer into a 3d one?
I have been always interested in making a 3d printer. However, all the sites I have found say you will have to pay $2000+ for supplies to build it. Is there anyway I can use a laser printer or ink printer I have already and “transform” it into a working, 3d one?!? Thanks.
It also has to be CHEAP

Is there a software or program that will convert a .jpg file to a .stl file?
I need to convert a jpeg file to a file that will work in a 3-D printer. Any suggestions will help. I’m new to CAD and so far I have not found a software that will manipulate a jpg photo to make a model to send to a 3D printer.
