I’m looking for a 3D Architectural Design Software similar to Punch! Professional Home Design Platinum software . But I need something that can also help me do small retail/commercial designs also.

Not for any computer aided drafting software for I already have AutoCAD.

Well, I have been drawing, for many years now, an invention I have had of mine. Now I want to start prototyping and becoming more active on my invention. I need to three dimensionally design my experiment, cheaply. I know what some of you might say, “just do it in real life” But that is very expensive . So basically, what is a good, easy, three dimensional design software, that is free?

So basically, what is a good, easy, three dimensional design software, that is free?

I was wondering what tools developers out there use for prototyping/wireframing, something that is quick and easy and good for getting client agreement. I had a look at jumpchart.com, but it was a little too time consuming for my purposes.

I am looking for some software that will allow me to import my own 3d models into a gaming environment with limited programming (some is ok). What I am really looking for is a program more design based than programming.

My old roommate is a bit of a geeky technophile. He likes robotics and circuits (he thinks 3D printers and CNCs are the most amazing things ever invented, apparently), but he’s also got a streak of lazy in him so I don’t want to give him anything that would require that he do a lot of work. I’m looking for something in the 10-dollar-ish range.

What are some good suggestions?

I’m going into college for engineering/computer science next year and I need to be able to do 3d design. I’d also like to play some games too. Would the above graphics card be able to do that?
