3D artist jobs in my view
Here I will go more in depth on this topic. If you were looking for vacancies, you can visit the 3d artist jobs section on 3dleaks.com. 3d animators, 3d modelers, texture artists all of them call themself 3d artists but you may ask, why so many divisions? Why making so many professions from one activity? Is it not possible for a person to model, texture and then animate to achieve an integral goal which is a movie or cartoon? The answer is simple, it is possible and in some companies there are people that are working on animated sequences from the beginning to the end. They are called generalist 3d artists, the can do all the necessary activities on a decent level. But in the majority of cases especially in big production companies the situation is different, due to high competition the standard for 3d animation and 3d modeling is so high that very few persons can reach this standard while spending most of their time doing only one activity like texturing, 3d animation or 3d modeling.

2011 Promises High Growth for 3D Modeling Market
Beginning 2011 the 3D modeling market is expected to grow to a new high after a decline during the 2008-09 global recession and nearly a no-growth period of 2010. As the economies around the world come out of recession, significant opportunities for the 3D modeling can be seen in the increasing popularity and demand for 3D movies, and growing interest in the gaming industry.
Opportunities for 3D Modeling
Digital games in general and 3D games in particular are the emerging trend in the gaming industry. 3D modeling and animation software are in great demand in this industry. Geographically, India has not only emerged as the most sought after destination for outsourcing the 3D modeling jobs (with an estimated 30% growth per annum) but is also a huge market for 3D animation movies.
The future of 3D Modeling
The most important challenge for the 3D industry is going to be a photorealistic animation of human beings. The 3D modelers will need to come out of their comfort zone of generating human cartoons, animals and fantasy characters, and machines to create computer generated humans that will look and act like humans. The “Holy Grail” of the 3D modeling industry is the creation of a movie scene where it will be close to impossible to tell the difference between the computer-generated movie scene and the real-life acted movie scene including the physical motions, the natural landscape and interaction with the other characters.
The 3D modeling and computer animation is surely back in business after a couple of years of layoffs with the opening up of new geographies and industrial sectors and introduction of innovative software and technologies.

3d Solid Modeling Production and Rpt
As the implications for 3D solid modeling and rapid prototyping continue to grow the impact for consumers and small businesses to manufacture products continues to grow as well. If a new product is needed by a business of customer a CAD file can be purchased, uploaded and the 3D solid modeling can reproduce it. Maybe a plastic ABS buckle needs replacing or a new product appeals to the consumer, 3D solid modeling has the capability to produce replicas, models or prototypes quickly and easily. Advancements in fabrication materials allow an almost unlimited potential for products with 3D solid modeling technology.
3D Solid Modeling Applications
3D solid modeling technology is on the brink of enhancing product availability for everyone. The technology once used only by manufacturing industries is becoming available for general use and not just for large manufacturers. 3D solid modeling will provide enhanced capabilities for production techniques to be used by the average person. Just imagine that you have a broken fan in your computer and you have no time to purchase another. What to do? With 3D solid modeling technology you can produce an exact replica of the part needed. Once produced you replace the old one with the new and your back in operation. 3D solid modeling can apply prototyping technology in a variety of applications. The technology for 3D solid modeling is computer assisted design software instructing a 3D printer to build models layer by layer on a platform until an exact reproduction according to specifications is produced.
Everyone with kids has games and toys needing repair or replacement parts. These parts could be replaced as 3D solid modeling technology would manufacture a brand new toy or just the piece that needs repairing. 3D solid modeling along with 3D printers has opened up a whole new set of options by allowing consumers to play a role in the design and manufacture of products they wish to purchase. Because of 3D solid modeling consumers will not have to purchase products in colors and designs they don’t want or need. 3D solid modeling will eventually allow the customizing, designing and manufacturing of many products by the same individual who will be purchasing them.
3D Solid Modeling Advantages
The use of 3D solid modeling for businesses is also one of many applications of 3D solid modeling technology. In this application the small business would produce a custom product for the consumer by purchasing or downloading a (CAD) software package for the item they wanted and produce it exactly to the specifications of the customer, many times while they waited. One of many 3D solid modeling printers would then begin to manufacture the customized item for the purchaser.
3D solid modeling offers options such as customizing colors and product materials would be available to the consumer with a 3D solid modeling program. In a short period of time a customized product would be ready for the consumer to take home and use. Think about purchasing a gift and having it made in the store while you wait. Maybe that special train or model car for a grandchild as a gift could be produced by 3D solid modeling technology.

3D Modeling Applications
The technology used by 3D modelling services produces advantages for product development in the areas of speed, cost, and availability. Engineers and design technicians can use 3d model design services during the conceptual stages of product design to produce prototypes of new products. 3D modelling services are able to produce rapid prototypes and provide designers with working models of the product in development. Having working prototypes during various stages of the design process helps engineers to bring products to the stage more efficiently. Traditional prototyping methods were time consuming, costly and created many delays in the product development process. But now with the out sourcing of 3d model design services available companies can save the overhead expense and bring products to the next stage of development.
3d model design services assist in the prototype testing phase by being able to produce multiple prototypes quicker and more efficiently. Where redesigning, retooling and recreating prototypes in house requires a considerable amount of resources and time, 3D modelling services can have a redesigned prototype ready for the next phase of testing in a much shorter period of time and for less money then conventional methods. 3D modeling services can help companies continue more economically and to comply with production schedules without any undue delays.
3D Modeling in the Marketplac
3d model design services have opened up a host new markets which will benefit consumers and businesses alike. In the past many companies and consumers where let out of the production stage of product development. 3D modeling services has brought them back in. A consumer or business can now design products from the foundation and 3D modelling services will produce the models for them. 3d model design services can produce any product that a CAD file can be created and fabrication materials can replicate. One of a kind, hard to find or antique products are no exception.
3d model design services cater to the needs of the consumer and allow them to be developers, designers, end-users and purchasers of the product. The technology used by 3D modelling services allows an individual to have an impact in all of these roles which were in the past off limits except to those whose job it was. 3d model design services play a vital role in research and development but will also play a role in providing brand new market services to both consumers and businesses.

By quickly creating prototypes that are like form and function as the particular production unit, developers may be able to make a product that meets the expectations of consumers and project sponsors.
Thru a mixture of layered manufacturing strategies and traditional model making, top of the range prototypes can be created with less the cost and faster fulfillment times.
Compared to standard fabrication methods like milling and turning, layered manufacturing is seriously better re accuracy, speed and quality.
Because of the advantage it brings, rapid prototyping services are being offered by companies to engineers and system developers to better understand their product and communicate better with their target clientele.
SLS is one of the most used tools in layered manufacturing methodologies. In SLS desktop manufacturing, a CO2 laser is used to melt powdered thermoplastic materials to create layers.
Prototypes created from SLS processes are powerful and more reasonable to stress. Materials used in the market include DuraForm, CastForm, Somos 201, FR85A and LaserForm. The majority of the prototypes created from these materials are sometimes prepared to be used and only require minimal clean up and finishing.
Stereolithography or SLA creates prototype part layers thru the utilization of a solid state laser.
In LOM, on the other hand, uses a paper sheet with one side laminated with adhesive. The laser cuts the outline on the paper sheet. This process doesn’t involve any chemical reaction which makes it less expensive and large parts can be made.
